Stunning set of 6 dining chairs model CH30 designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Son, Odense Denmark 1950. These chairs are an early design by Wegner as they were first introduced already in 1950. The chair features organic contours and elegant styling. These chairs are a perfect demonstration of young Wegner’s unique design approach and insightful craftsmanship. The back rest features a fantastic shaped connection of the frame to the back shell. This kind of woodwork is typical for the design by Wegner. And it is with good reason that he is referred to as the Master of the Chair. The chairs have a solid oak frame and teak veneered back rest. The oak frame and teak back show a nice contrast. The seats are upholstered in a cognac colour leatherette and is in very good condition. The chairs are marked with the Hans J. Wegner brandmark on the bottom of the seats. The chairs are priced and sold in a set of 6.
