Beautiful abstract shaped plaster sculpture, made and sculpted by Hans van Eerd, Holland 1976. This sculpture was aquired directly from the artist who kept some of his best works from his early period, this was one of them. It is made of white glazed plaster and looks very elegant and sensual. The early works by Hans van Eerd were inspired by the human body and its organisms, its well visible in this sculpture. The sculpture has some minor wear but its nice to see the age of this piece. Very nice organic shaped sculpture which would look highly decorative in any modern home or interior.
Hans van Eerd was a sculpture for almost 50 years and did over 250 exhibitions with his work during that period. He made sculptures from 3 cm to 7 meter high for private and company commissions. Most of his work was so called ‘free work’. Which is mostly where the talents from the artist come best forward.
