Large and impressive sized sculpture made and crafted by H Louis Noel (1938-2014), Belgium 1989. H Louis Noel studied at the Ecole Belge. This sculpture was made of solid kambala wood and carved out of 1 piece. The sculpture shows a very nice abstract but organic shape, with a nice detailed cubic base. Kambala was a very hard wood which is perfect for fine sculpting as this piece, if you are good enough to master the cutting technique of course. Kambala has minimal veins running through the wood which give the wood a very nice and gentle appearance. The sculpture is in very good original condition without any mention worthy marks or damages. Signed with an exhibition sticker at the bottom from 1989. It could be that the sculpture was made at earlier period. Highly decorative piece of art.
