Fantastic sculprutal shaped lounge sofa designed by architect, designer and businessman Giuseppe Scapinelli, Brazil 1955. Scapinelli is known for his sculptural work, crafted in the most beautiful wood to be found in Brazil. This sofa is made of solid walnut and has nice tapered arms which point slightly upwards. The sofa is newly upholstered in a beige upholstery. A nice detail is the open back, this sofa looks beautiful from the back as well so could also be standing free in a space. We have a matching pair of arm chairs available in our other listings. Giuseppe Scapinelli was one of the most important designers from Brazil, with a large ouvre of unknown pieces such as the sofa on sale here.
