Sculptural ‘Maracana’ coffee table designed by Giuseppe Scapinelli and manufactured in his atelier in Brazil, 1955. Scapinelli is known for his beautiful and sculptural shaped designs where he combined extraordinary woods with ceramic, glass and stone. This coffee table is amongst his most beautiful and strongest designs, the table has a beautiful solid caviuna structure and features a round travertine marble inlay. The wood has an amazing grain to the wood which makes this table unique. The table is fully original but the wooden structure has been refinished in our own atelier. The stone is its original, which was often missing or replaced, but this beautiful top is important for the appearance of the design.
Fully refinished in our own atelier with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use.
