The Model 607 Table Lamp, designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1971 and manufactured by Arteluce, Italy, is a remarkable example of mid-century modern design, blending technical innovation with formal elegance. The Model 607 is composed of two distinct yet harmoniously integrated elements: a flat, disc-shaped diffuser with a truncated cone section and a solid, inclined parallelepiped base. Both components are crafted from painted aluminum, with the diffuser featuring a distinctive crackled finish — a hallmark of Sarfatti’s design sensibility, adding texture and depth to the lamp’s visual appeal.

This particular version of the lamp is finished in a rich dark grey, and is in fantastic, fully original condition. The dimmer switch is conveniently located at the front, near the foot of the base, providing easy control over the light’s intensity. Additionally, a small hole at the back allows for effortless handling, evoking the iconic photograph by Aldo Ballo for Arteluce, where the lamp is carried like a bag, highlighting its portability and playful practicality.
