Presenting a stunning and complete set of model 849 lounge chairs with matching footstools, designed by the celebrated Gianfranco Frattini and produced by Cassina, Italy, in 1956. This elegant ensemble includes two beautifully crafted chairs and two equally rare footstools, showcasing Frattini’s signature balance of refined structure and organic form. Each chair features a solid walnut frame with clean, angular lines that emphasize simplicity and craftsmanship. The visual impact lies in the harmonious contrast between the sleek, minimalist woodwork and the soft, sculptural forms of the upholstered seats. Recently newly upholstered in a rich caramel velvet, the chairs radiate warmth and sophistication while drawing attention to the natural beauty of the walnut wood. The frames remain in very good original condition, showing only light wear consistent with age. Each piece retains its original Cassina label, affirming authenticity and provenance.
