Stunning rare lounge chair designed by Genes Babut and manufactured by Rozier, Nantua France 1959. This chair has been sold under many names, Roger Landault, Andre Badouin, Michel Ducaroy, but we recently found the real designer of this chair, documented in a French magazine. This chair was documented as a design by Genes Babut and an edition by Rozier, Nantua France 1959. Tis particular example is made of solid oak wood, has a rattan seat and back and is in fully original condition. The design has a bit from the works by Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret but is much more refined and of better quality. The chair seems very slim but its very sturdy due to a well thought construction. Genes Babut was a decorator, not a super known one but after this chair I guess more people will get fond of Genes Babut. This is one of our personal favorites. And its in absolutely fantastic original condition.
