Gastone Rinaldi Ondalunga rocking chair Italy 1971

A very rare and original “Ondalunga” rocking chair, designed by Gastone Rinaldi and manufactured by Giuliano Pozzi, Italy 1971. The chair itself  is a true eye catcher and due to it’s interesting form, an inmediate invitation to sit in it. The leather and frame have a nice patina, but no further significant imperfections worth mentioning. The shape is just a very good example of Italian industrial design of the seventies, whereas from the postwar period, Italian design kept making more and more name for itself and experimented with new ways of designing. Rinaldi in particular, (a son of RIMA founder Mario Rinaldi) is most known for designing and working with tubular frames and exploring new techniques to use it. A very good and extremely rare sculptural piece, which would make a great addition to any eclectic interior or collection!
