Fascinating and rare early edition of the Patroclo table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti and manufactured by Artemide in 1975. The lamp’s body is made of clear grey blown glass, and it is partially covered by a unique metal frame in an irregular rhomboid shape. The frame is created by welding heat-resistant steel wire to support the blown glass. The condition of the lamp is excellent.
When the Patroclo lamp is turned on, it creates a mesmerising effect in its surroundings. The light shines through the transparent glass and interacts with the metal frame, casting beautiful shadows and highlights. It transforms any space into a visually striking experience, adding an artistic touch to the atmosphere. Making the lamp not just a practical lighting solution but also an attractive art piece. The inspiration for Patroclo came from outdoor lights that are protected from damage by a metal-grid structure covering the glass. It’s a true conversation piece and you can keep looking at it and keep getting intrigued again and again.
