This ultra-rare folding table by Friso Kramer, designed in 1955 for Ahrend de Cirkel in Holland, is a true collector’s piece from his renowned *Reform* table program. The Reform series offered clients various table options with flexible sizes and finishes, but all shared a consistent structural element: an ingeniously folded metal industrial designed frame. Lightweight yet incredibly strong, this frame design set a new standard in industrial furniture, and it reflects Kramer’s visionary approach to functionalist design.

This particular table stands out with its rectangular off white Formica top and rare olive green-painted frame, a color that adds distinctiveness to an already scarce piece. The Formica top is highly practical, easy to clean, and durable, making it suitable for both dining and working spaces. It has a small damage to one of the corners, visible on the pictures. The table’s foldable frame allows it to be stored or transported easily—a feature that was revolutionary in its time. In original condition with age-related wear, this piece retains its authenticity and charm, embodying the beauty of well-kept vintage industrial furniture.

Kindly note that the chair is not included in this listing but can be purchase separately.

Kramer’s designs are celebrated for their practicality, timelessness, and ergonomic considerations. Like many of his pieces, this table won the *Signe d’Or*, a prestigious award recognizing functional excellence. His work is often compared to that of Jean Prouvé, with both designers sharing a commitment to combining aesthetic refinement with industrial strength. Museums frequently display Kramer’s iconic Revolt chair alongside Prouvé’s Standard chair, highlighting their shared design philosophy and historical importance.
