This very nice and versatile in height adjustable ceiling pendant lamp, model Onos 55, was designed and manufactured by Florian Schulz in Germany in 1970. Crafted from polished brass, the lamp features a heavy solid brass round ball at its center, allowing you to easily adjust its height—currently up to 280 cm. The ingenious system, where the electrical wire runs through the brass ball to adjust the height, is not only functional but also minimalistic and visually appealing.
The lamp’s high-quality brass construction and polished finish reflect the glamour and shine that were central to design in the seventies. Brass was a popular material during this period, adding a touch of sophistication to interiors. The pendant provides soft, diffused light thanks to its reflective shade and small diffuser underneath, creating a warm, ambient glow.
In very good original condition, the lamp retains its shiny brass appearance with some natural patina, which is visible in the pictures. This patina is completely normal for a piece of this age and only enhances its authenticity and history. The Onos 55 pendant is a highly versatile and stylish piece, perfect for a range of settings.
