Rare early umbrella stand designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr and manufactured by Industria Metallurgica Rinnovel, Italy 1955. The umbrella stand is made of colored anodized almuminium and exists in 2 parts. The inner side is gold colored and the outer side is blue. It has a weighted base to stay stable when filled with umbrellas. These umbrella stands are often in used condition, where this one is still in very nice shape with minor traces of age and usage. It is signed at the bottom; Rinnovel.
