Extraordinary game table designed and made by Elvio Becheroni in Italy in 1969. Made from solid teak wood in different wood tone layers, it has a nice hexagonal top with a glass center. The base of the table is like a work of art, sculpted shapes made from solid teak wood to give it a classy look and typical Becheroni style. It’s not just a game table; this artistic table is a unique piece from the early days of Becheroni. Light up your gaming nights with the subtle glow from the bottom of the table. There’s a switch on the side to control the light, making it easy to set the mood for your games. The brass signature “Becheroni” is on one of the ends on the tabletop. Each corner of the table top has small drawers for keeping your game chips ready. The table is in good original condition with slight signs of wear.
Elvio Becheroni, 1934 – 200, was an Italian painter, sculptor, ceramicist and designer. He was born in Florence. He lived in Milan but in his adult life he moved to Brazil where he spent the rest of his life. His career as an artist started during the 60s when he partecipated in numerous collective expositions and personal ones especially in Milan. In 1978 Becheroni left Italy and moved to Brasil. His taste and work were then inspired by the untouched nature and especially fine wood quality for its sculptures. After an expedition in the Amazon forest, he recovered some tree trunks saved from the flames of a fire, and he realized high sculptures symbolizing the nature’s suffering due to men activities.
