Nice large set of S22 stacking chairs designed by Elmar Flototto and manufactured by Pagholz in Germany in 1970. They’re very well designed to be stacked on top of each other and interlocked next to each other. These chairs are designed really well as an industrial product for daily use with versatile functionality. The frames of the chairs look like the letter “V” upside down and are made of strong dark brown painted folded metal. The seats are a very dark brown colour, almost black, and they’re made from pressed wood which is super easy to clean. The chairs were built to last, and we have 44 of them in stock, priced and sold individually.
These chairs have been used for many years, and that’s given them a very nice and characteristic look. You can buy them one by one, and they each have a mark from Pagholz pressed on the backrest. There’s a lot of them available – 44 in a set of this edition in dark brown. You can pick the ones with dark brown seats and frames, or there’s another version we have available with light grey frames from the same model. When you want to save space, you can stack them up to 8 high, and they fit together like puzzle pieces. The original and used patina is something you got to love or hate. But it’s a part of the characteristics in this industrial piece of design. Normal paint loss is on the frames and surface wear to the seats, but they are not broken or cracked for sure.
