Very rare sofa designed by Dick Lookman for Bas van pelt, Holland 1965. This sofa was only produced for a very short period (not more than 1 year) cause it was very expensive and couldn't compete with the much cheaper sleeping sofa from Martin Visser that was much more functional. This sofa is documented in the Bas van Pelt book by Petra Faber for 010 publishers, page 30. The sofa is newly upholstered with grey semi wool fabric that matches perfect with the 1960s. The legs are made of chrome plated metal and look great in contrast with the grey fabric. Very comfortable modernist lounge sofa in excellent condition.
Like all of our upholstered pieces these can also be newly upholstered to your wishes. Ask our upholstery department for a very affordable quote. We only use the best quality foam and materials for all of our items in combination with upholstery to your choice.
