Fantastic large slat bench designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Cite Cansado, Mauritania, and manufactured by Steph Simon ca 1958. This bench was made of solid teak wooden slats and has a black metal frame. This rare bench has a drawer unit on the left which is black laminated. Very nice contrast with the black frame and teak wood with black laminate. Bench is in original condition, shows wear which is normal for a used bench this age, take a close look at the pictures to see the patina this bench has. Would look very nice with a mattress on it for example. Finished with the original ‘star’ nails at the bottom.
