Very nice and versatile dry bar coffee table by Cesare Augusto Nava, Italy 1970. This recognizable almost constructivist coffee table has an amazing design. The piece is different from every side and has many hidden and visible functions. Which makes this a very interesting and versatile piece. It is painted in off white which is still the original finish, and the details, handles and strips are made of aluminium. They are a nice detail to the aesthetics from this piece. The table has a sliding top where you can put bottles in the centre part, a folding drop-down door, drawer, space for glasses. So, this is a perfect piece to use as a dry bar if wanted. The table is very similar to the famous revolving bookcase by Salocchi and he also made some tables which are similar in design to this piece. It surely is a very nice and interesting piece of Italian design. The table is in original condition and shows normal user signs to the white finish. In our opinion this only adds character to the piece, however this can be restored upon request.
Nava’s training was forged by the great architect Gio Ponti, in fact thanks to him his creations were defined and cared for in every detail.
