A beautiful pair of lounge chairs in rattan by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, made by Forma Móveis in Brazil in 1955. The chairs are in fully original condition and have never been seperated. The overall patina looks fantastic, and the chairs have little marks of usage throughout the years.
The wickerwork is clearly done by artisans and is beautifully finished around the edges, cross sections and are still tight. No marks from stretching or discoloration can be seen on joints or places that are vulnerable to wearing out. The steel wire frame has not seen bending or deforming in places that shouldn’t and has a nice wear due to age.
It is not very common to have a set of fully original lounge chairs like these to become available, and definitely make a great addition to one’s interior or private collection.
Frames have of course some paint loss but can be refinished on request. Priced and sold in a set of 2.
