Carlo Bartoli dining chairs set of 6 by Tisettana Italy 1971

Very stylish and well preseved set of six ‘Model 920C’ dining chairs designed by Carlo Bartoli and produced in Italy by Tisettana in 1971. The frames are made of chrome plated tubing, and are in a good condition. There are normal marks of wear and usage throughout the years, and one spring is missing, but only adds character and there is minor difference in the structure. The leather seating has a striking patina and is fully original but without tears in the leather. The combination of a minimalistic frame with dark leather give the model 920C a very eclectic feel, and would look stunning in a large variety of interior styles and combinations.

From the postwar period, Italian design kept making more and more name for itself and experimented with new ways of designing, in which the use of tubular framing became a very distinctive feature. People like Carlo Bartoli changed the way people were interpreting furniture by thinking outside of the box.
