Striking brutalist made and stunning shaped sculpture by unknown artist, signed FG at the base, made in Italy 1960s. This visually appealing sculpture is made of several parts of sculpted pine wood which are connected using a lot of dowels. These dowels are necessary, but the interesting thing is that this artist didnt find it necessary to hide them. In fact, he used the dowels to create a playful look. Making it necessary to place the dowels nicely which is way more difficult to keep it clean instead of messy. This artist did an outstanding job in that. He created a unique piece which is interesting from every angle, making you think every time when you look at it. Is it an instrument, is it a figure, its it a free natural form? That is the most interesting detail of this beautiful sculpture, beauty without knowing what to see. This sculpture comes from the Torino area, an area where gruppo NP2 was active and this sculpture could be by one of those following members. We didnt find anything to link the designer to Gruppo NP2 yet but the style, material use and appearance are very similar. None the leas a very beautiful and high quality sculpture in an impressive size.
