This minimalist floor lamp, designed by Angelo Lelii and manufactured by Arredoluce in Italy in 1956, is an exquisite example of mid-century lighting design. As an early creation by the esteemed designer, this piece holds historical significance and is documented in the last released book by Arredoluce, further highlighting its value. The lamp features a beautifully crafted round Carrara marble base, a hallmark of Arredoluce’s design language, echoing the elegance and quality found in many of their other lighting pieces. A black-painted central metal stem rises from the base, providing a sleek contrast to the rich brass detailing. Topping the design is a white frosted glass shade, which diffuses light in a way that evokes the appearance of a large candle when illuminated, casting a warm and atmospheric glow.
Preserved in excellent, fully original condition, the lamp retains its authentic character, including its original E27 bulb fitting that accommodates up to 100 watts, and the original floor switch, proudly signed ” Made In Italy, Arredoluce Monza” at the base. This lamp not only offers a practical lighting solution but also stands as a work of art, blending function with understated elegance.A rare and beautiful piece, this floor lamp by Angelo Lelii is a collector’s item, admired for its minimalistic design, fine craftsmanship, and historical importance in the world of Italian lighting design.
