The model 12445 table lamp, designed by Angelo Lelii and manufactured by Arredoluce in Italy in 1954, is a refined example of mid-century architectural design. This compact yet striking lamp reflects Lelii’s mastery in form and function. Its design begins with a white, weighted cylindrical base that offers both stability and elegance. Rising from this base is a nickel-plated tubular housing with die cut pattern to release the heat inside the lamp, crowned by a sleek, adjustable black-painted cylindrical shade. The top shade, which slides over a frosted glass inner tube, can be moved to regulate light intensity, allowing for an adaptable ambiance tailored to your preference.
Anchored by a solid steel stem and secured with Arredoluce’s characteristic screw at the back, the lamp’s details showcase the precision and artistry of Italian craftsmanship. Despite its small size, the model 12445 has a satisfying weight that underscores Arredoluce’s commitment to quality. The original patina, carefully preserved with light, natural wear, adds an authentic charm to this piece, making it not only a functional lighting fixture but a collector’s gem with an enduring allure.
