Alessandro Becchi Toscanella chairs Giovannetti Italy 1970

Bulky set of six so called Toscanella chairs designed by Alessandro Becchi and manufactured by Giovannetti, Italy 1970. These rare chairs have ash wooden feet, and they are recently redone as the original in new straw. The chairs have a very unusual but nice shape as the legs usually get thinner towards the bottom, these get thicker. It gives the chairs a bulky appearance but makes them also very unique in their appearance. The thick straw aligns perfectly with the bulky legs. The pattern of the straw is also very nice and has an almost abstract pattern to it. Perfectly finished at the front, back and even bottom of the chairs. Its also contrasting perfectly with the wooden structure and they both empower each other. The chairs bring the Ibiza vibe into your home as the combination of the orange tanned wood and the straw seats and backs gives them an island feel.
