Pure minimalist TC2 floor lamp designed by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar and manufactured by Artimeta, Netherlands 1972. This floor lamp has an amazing shape and the base contains the transformer that is heavy enough that it also acts as the counter weight for the lamp. The form of this lamp is like a one-line drawing. It starts as a hook and goes straight up after a hard bend, like a paperclip. This particular lamp is an early version and is made from white painted metal and is stamped at the bottom number ‘27’. The lamp is in original condition with minor age related wear and paint loss. The tubular vertical stem can rotate so you can adjust the lights direction. Gives beautiful light when lit. Can be used as floor or wall lamp using the keyholes at the bottom of the base.

His award-winning designs are exhibited in museums throughout the Netherlands as well as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it.
