Very nice and comfortablethree-seated lounge sofa from the Bastiano series, designed by designer duo Afra e Tobia Scarpa for Gavina, Italy 1960. This sofa has a solid rosewood frame and very nice natural leather cushions. The rosewood structure is in excellent original condition and the leather has a very nice patina to the cushions but no tears or cracks to it. We will provide 1 extra seating cushion with the sofa just in case. The patina of this sofa is really stunning, and it still has the original filling which is very comfortable and cosy. Cushions are marked with teh Gavina label on the underside. Gavina was the first one to produce this sofa, later on production was taken over by Knoll who took over Gavina as a company. This sofa is from the first production.
Leather is reconditioned with a leather care product special for vintage leather.
