Rare and iconic lounge chair model 925 designed by Afra e Tobia Scarpa and manufactured by Cassina in Italy in 1966. Easily recognized by its firm and robust solid light brown walnut wooden frame and the stunning contrast it creates to the darkness of the black leather covered seat and backrest. On the seat the leather is gently patinated. The anatomical design of the seat, combined with the natural elasticity of the cantilevered backrest, creates a lounge chair that is equally comfortable and elegant. The modernist frame has a beautiful contrast with the rounded backrest and the iconic opening in the back. The chair is marked with the original Cassina sticker at the bottom of the frame. A true icon of the Italian modern design blooming seventies period.
