Iconic 121 dining chairs designed by Afra e Tobia Scarpa and manufactured by Cassina Italy, in 1965. Tobia Scarpa was inspired by a sketch from his dad Carlo Scarpa. With this inspiration the Scarpa’s made the iconic 121 chair. These chairs are real classics. The seats are made of black stained plywood. The frames are made from warm brown solid walnut, giving a solid feel. The chairs have two thin plywood “leaves” that make the seat and backrest. The modern frame stands out with its contrast against the rounded backrest and the iconic opening in the back. This 121 Scarpa dining chair was designed alongside the classic 925 Scarpa lounge chair. The Cassina stickers are on the underside of the chairs. The seats and backrests have scratches on the back parts from usage and can be refinished on request.
Kindly note that this set is priced and sold in a set of 6.
